Morpeth: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We are able to deliver our plaster coving and ceiling roses to Morpeth at least once a week dispatching from our Northern warehouse in Greater Manchester. All of our plaster products are raw materials and need to be handled with care, for delivery we use our own delivery drivers and specially purpose built vans to ensure your orders arrive safely. All of our plaster coving and ceiling roses are completely made by hand, using the same techniques and traditional materials that were used during Victorian times, plaster cornice is moulded in 2.4 meter (8 ft) lengths however be sure to order by the metre, each 2.4 metre length is individually cast, as are, all our ceiling roses, a truly handmade and thoughtful product. Thanks to our spacious workshop we are able to hold large quantities of finished plaster materials so that we can fulfill even the largest of orders in a matter of days.

'Moor Path' refers to a route across moor land which is likely how Morpeth got its name. The Victorian era was a significant era for the landscape across Morpeth. Driven by its role as a market and administrative town, Morpeth expanded rapidly. Countless stone terraces and semi detached villas were constructed. Originally all these homes were finished with hand made gypsum plaster mouldings such as plaster cornice, ceiling roses and corbels, over the years these architectural details have been stripped back which has provided us the privilege of supplying the materials to reinstate these magnificent details.

It is surprising how different the same cornice can look depending on how a room has been styled and decorated, samples are available to purchase for next day delivery by contacting us before 2pm.

We would always recommend you use experienced fitters to install your coving, as it can prove to be a little complex for DIY. A professional will not have difficulties with ceilings that are not level, walls that are not straight, coving with a pattern on it or corners that are not right angles. All these things are just part of the job especially when working on older houses. Not only will the job look better it should also be cheaper as they will get more coving put up in a day.
