The proportions of this Swan Neck coving are such that the projection across the ceiling 125mm is noticeably greater than the drop down the wall 95mm.
With a drop of 95mm or just under 4 inches, this cornice is very popular with owners of Victorian and Edwardian houses, where the ceilings have been lowered and there is now insufficient room for a larger cornice, between the new ceiling height and the window architraves. It is also the ideal size for many modern houses and apartments, where customers wish to create a period atmosphere.
Customers often choose to fit swan neck cornice throughout their whole house. It does not look out of place in any room and is often combined with plain spun ceiling roses, such as MPR073.
This beauty of this coving is that it will look substantial and impressive, in settings where there is not very much room for the plaster cornice.
