This magnificent large enriched Victorian plaster cornice features an upper cornice decorated with Acanthus leaves supported by finely cast modillions, also richly decorated with scrolls and Acanthus leaves, above an Egg and Dart moulding with a Dentil course below. Measuring 250mm across its face, this is a very large cornice and would have been used in the grandest of Victorian properties. Traditionally such a cornice would have been used in the entrance hall and the main reception rooms where it would have had the greatest impact upon visitors, impressing them with their hosts wealth and taste.

If you are restoring a large Victorian or Edwardian property where the cornice has been removed from the entrance hall this cornice makes the perfect replacement. As can be seen from the pictures opposite it can also be used in kitchens, dining rooms or any other room to create stunning interiors.

You do need high ceilings to use this particular cornice we do however have two smaller sizes LPC024 and MPC012 which are suitable for average height and lower ceilings respectively.

We make this plaster cornice entirely by hand. Each piece is individually moulded using the same materials and techniques that were used in Victorian times.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.
