If you're looking for an impressive Victorian Cornice and you have a ceiling height of ten feet or more, this could be for you.

This fine cornice features a central frieze of large, finely moulded Acanthus leaves, with an egg and dart moulding below, and linear mouldings above. All of these mouldings are taken from the buildings of ancient Greece and Rome, and were introduced to this country in Georgian times, where they became the height of fashion, continuing to be so throughout the Victorian period.

This cornice is regularly chosen by customers who have large Victorian or Edwardian properties, where the original cornice has been removed or is so badly damaged it cannot be repaired. As can be seen from the pictures opposite, this cornice will restore perfectly the grandest of Victorian interiors.

This is a very large cornice and will look out of proportion if you don't have the necessary ceiling height. We would recommend 10 foot plus. If you like the style, but your ceilings are lower LPC021 or MPC019; will give you the same Victorian style in proportions suitable for smaller rooms with lower ceilings.

All our plaster cornice is made by hand. It is the only way to capture the fine detail on the Acanthus leaves and other elements of this cornice. Each piece is individually moulded using the same techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.3m lengths.

We use our own vans and drivers to deliver coving. Our products are fragile and need to be handled carefully.

Using our own transport ensures your coving arrives in good condition and customers are kept up to date with progress on the day of delivery. We deliver to the vast majority of the UK within five working days, often sooner.

If you live in an isolated area, deliveries will be less frequent than somewhere like the centre of London, where we have multiple vans every day.
