Plaster Coving Regency Medium 125mm Drop MPC067

This cornice is an original Georgian design and would, at that time, have been run in situ. However, since Victorian times, cornice has been made off-site and delivered to site in pre-moulded lengths. As we still do today, using the same techniques and materials that were used in the Victorian period.
It's relatively simple design reflects the limitations, of moulding cornice directly onto the wall, Its profile is influenced by the stone cornices of the ancient temples of Greece and Rome, the style of which was the height of fashion in the Georgian period.
Although designs like this originated in the Georgian period, they were used through into Victorian times and beyond, incorporating, as they do, elements such as the ogee curve. The ogee curve has, for the last 200 years, been used in skirting boards, architraves, furniture, and many other places throughout every house. A result of which is this cornice does not look out of place anywhere.
This cornice comes in three different sizes. This size is suitable for ceilings of an average height, for higher ceilings, LPC027 will suit. For those with lower ceilings, SPC024. This allows the same design to be used throughout a house, with the different sizes being used where ceiling heights vary.
This is one of our most versatile cornices, because of its ability not only to look good but to look in keeping with any property built in the last 250 years.
Each length is individually made by hand, using the same techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?
If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.
