This plaster coving is an original Georgian design, the Georgians themselves were recreating the stone cornices found on the temples of ancient Rome. You can see from the video how well it fits in with the wooden architraves used around the doors. These are traditional patterns that also incorporate the same types of moulding. In this instance it has been used in a modern property where a living room has been knocked through. The larger size LPC027 is used to cover the boxed-in RSJ where the wall has been removed. and the medium size has been used for the rest of the room, There is also a good example of how a stop end can be made into a feature, This plaster cornice is the medium of three sizes we produce in this design. Please also see SPC024 and LPC027.
If you measure your room(s) and order an exact amount of cornice then one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, it will create a better finish.
**Our coving is priced per metre, not per length
