South Turton: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Roses

We deliver plaster coving and plaster ceiling roses to the South Turton area on a regular basis, using our own vans and drivers to ensure everything arrives in perfect condition. All of our plaster cornice and ceiling roses are made by hand using traditional materials dating back to Victorian times. We keep large quantities of stock, allowing us to fulfil even sizeable orders very quickly.

Unlike heavily industrial towns, South Turton retained much of its semi-rural character, attracting larger homes and more spacious developments. The housing stock reflects this, with a mix of stone-built cottages, substantial Victorian and Edwardian houses, and later detached and semi-detached properties set within generous plots. Many properties in South Turton would originally have featured plaster cornice and ceiling roses.

Where original features have been lost we have supplied materials for many restoration projects. Swan neck cornice remains a popular choice for period properties, characterised by its projection across the ceiling. LPC017 is one of our larger swan neck designs, well suited to the higher ceilings often found in detached and semi-detached Victorian houses in the area.

For rooms with slightly lower ceilings, LPC030 works well in spaces with above average height, while MPC065 is ideal for standard ceiling heights, such as bedrooms or for introducing a traditional feel into more modern homes.

A plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074 pairs well with most cornices and provides a subtle centrepiece, while LPR060, featuring a classic acanthus leaf design, offers a more decorative option based on original Victorian patterns.

We produce designs suitable for all styles of home, from traditional to contemporary. LPC015 is a versatile cornice that works well in a variety of settings with average or higher ceilings, while MPC046 is a good choice for rooms with lower ceiling heights. For a more distinctive look, art deco styles such as MPC028 can introduce a bold architectural feature.

Samples of all our cornices are available via the individual product pages on our website, where you will also find customer images showing how our products look in real homes. These can be particularly helpful, as the same design can appear quite different depending on the proportions of the room and the style of decoration. Samples are delivered within a couple of days.
