Mayfair: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We deliver plaster coving to the Mayfair area regularly, with deliveries taking place at least once a week. There’s never a long wait after placing an order. We use our own vans and trusted drivers to ensure every length of coving arrives in perfect condition. On delivery, our drivers make sure the coving is handled with care and stacked safely, which is particularly important on tight or busy renovation sites where space is at a premium.

All our plaster coving is handmade, using the same traditional techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times. Each piece—whether a ceiling rose or a cornice—is individually moulded by hand. We keep a large amount of finished stock on hand, so even large or urgent orders can usually be fulfilled within a few days.

Mayfair’s Georgian and Victorian architecture has long been one of its defining features. While many original plaster details have been preserved, renovations are common, and where original cornices or ceiling roses are missing, we have supplied many projects with authentically made replacements. Once fitted, our coving blends in so seamlessly, you’d think it had been there from the beginning.

One of the most requested designs in historic London properties is our Swan Neck Cornice. This elegant profile extends further across the ceiling than it drops down the wall, a detail that was especially popular in Victorian and Edwardian homes. Its flowing shape is instantly recognisable to anyone familiar with period interiors.

For rooms with higher ceilings, which are typical in many Mayfair properties, our LPC030 Swan Neck Cornice is a perfect match. For smaller rooms or lower ceiling heights, MPC065 offers the same style in a more compact size. Pair either with a plain spun ceiling rose such as MPR073 to complete the look.

Of course, we also offer designs that suit more recent properties. Our LPC015 cornice works beautifully in homes from the 1930s onwards, where ceiling heights allow for a more prominent profile. For tighter spaces, MPC046 offers similar styling in a smaller form. Many customers choose the MPR072 spun ceiling rose to go with these styles for a classic, understated finish.

Samples of all our coving designs are available directly from the product pages on our website. These pages also feature hundreds of real-world installation photos, many sent in by our customers, giving you a clear idea of how a design might look in your own space. It’s surprising how much a coving profile’s appearance can vary depending on decoration, lighting, and furnishings—samples usually arrive within a couple of days.

We recommend using experienced cornice fitters, particularly when working in older properties. Professionals can handle all the quirks—uneven ceilings, crooked walls, out-of-square corners, or intricate patterns—with ease. This ensures a better finish and can even save you money in the long run. We have excellent contacts with reliable local tradespeople in the Mayfair area and would be happy to put you in touch.

If you have any questions or would like more details about a particular product or delivery, our friendly customer service team is always happy to help.
