Cheadle and Gatley: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses
It only takes a couple of days to deliver plaster coving in the Cheadle and Gatley areas, we have a warehouse in Bredbury, Stockport, just off junction 28 of the M60. As we are so close many customers prefer to order online and collect their order, saving time and delivery charges. If you don't want to place your order online you can order and pay for your coving at the warehouse and take it away with you all in one visit, people often do this after coming to the warehouse to look at samples.
All our plaster coving is made by hand. We use the same techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times, we still individually mould every ceiling rose and every length of cornice, the whole process from start to finish is done by hand. We keep large stocks of finished coving ,enabling us to deliver even the largest orders, in a matter of days not weeks.
There are many fine Victorian and Edwardian houses in Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Gatley, and Didsbury, it is an area we know very well, and we have worked on the renovation of many of them. One of the most popular types of cornice chosen has been Swan neck coving, so called because it extends further across the ceiling than it does down the wall. Swan neck coving was used extensively in the Victorian and Edwardian periods and will be instantly recognisable to anybody familiar with older houses. We have a number of different sizes the most popular being, LPC030 and LPC072 these are larger sizes designed for rooms with above average ceiling heights, smaller sizes such as MPC065 and SPC070 for lower ceilings are often used upstairs, or where ceilings have been overboarded in the past. A plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074 goes well with these or if you would like something more ornate LPR060 is a fine Victorian design.
We don't just sell coving for older houses, we have a full range of styles and designs for all types of properties, LPC015 will look good anywhere, that has average to above average ceiling heights, its particularly popular for post Edwardian houses, for lower ceiling heights MPC046 is a good choice. Samples of all our designs are available from the individual product pages where we also have hundreds of pictures of our coving in real life settings, most of these photographs have been sent in by our customers and are the best way to see how a design will actually look in your own home. Samples only take a couple of days to arrive, or you can go to the warehouse and look at them there, it is open 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
We suggest you use experienced cornice fitters to install your coving, not only will it look better it should also be cheaper. They do not have problems with ceilings that are not level, walls that are not straight and corners that are not right angles, these are all things that are, just part of the job, especially with older houses.
We have good contacts with local tradesmen and can put you in contact if required. If you have any other questions or would like any further information, please give our customer services team a call they will be happy to talk to you.
What a brilliant achievement for this homeowner in Cheadle. The pictures above show they've done a fantastic job transforming their home with a media wall and coving. They have added some classic features using our large swan neck plaster coving (LPC072) installing this product certainly elevates the lounge adding elegance and sophistication perfect for unwinding.
This style of coving was extremely sought after during Victorian times and is one of our best selling products today, Thanks to the LPC072, this ornate yet simple design adds a radiant aesthetic to the lounge with a touch of Victorian class.
Whatever you're looking for: from modern wow-factor to period charm, we have a wide range of coving to suit any preference.
