Swan Neck Plaster Coving 125mm LPC030
Swan Neck Plaster Coving 125mm LPC030
Drop: 130mmProjection: 170mm
Swan Neck Coving was extremely popular in Victorian times and is perhaps the most instantly recognisable cornice design from the Victorian period. We stock this particular pattern in three sizes; LPC030 is the middle size with a drop of 130mm. We also have MPC065 - a swan neck coving with a drop of 100mm and LPC017 - swan neck coving with a drop of 170mm.
Swan neck cornice was used throughout the Victorian period and through into the Edwardian era, it is probably the most popular cornice with customers who are renovating properties from those times. Extending down the wall 130mm (5 inches) and extending 170mm (7 inches) across the ceiling, this size is most suited to average and above average ceiling heights, all depending on how much of a feature you wish to make out of the cornice.
As can be seen from the pictures, swan neck cornice can be used throughout the house in every room and although a traditional design it is at home in the most contemporary of settings.
We still make each length individually by hand using techniques that remain unchanged since Victorian times.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?
If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.
