Plaster Coving Dentil 120mm Drop MPC061
Drop: 120mmProjection: 95mm
This dentil plaster coving features a chunky dentil course below an Ogee curve; two commonly used designs in the manufacture of plaster cornice. Both the Ogee curve and dentil moulding have their origins in the ancient temples of the Romans and Greeks.
They were revived in the Georgian period with Ogee and dentil mouldings often being used in the design and manufacture of fine furniture. Both mouldings were used in door surrounds and other internal joinery from 19th century onwards, with the Ogee moulding especially prevalent in skirting boards and architraves where it continues to be used to this day. This is a cornice that can be used in all ages of property as it combines two mouldings that have been used widely over the last 250 years.
With a drop of just over four inches this cornice is suited to ceilings of around average height, for lower ceilings we have SPC015
HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?
If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.
Please remember, our coving is priced and ordered by the metre, not per length. Prices include VAT.
