In Victorian times, large decorative plaster features were often made up of various individual pieces, although when you look at them now, they appear to be one. In much the same way as when you look at the plaster cornice in a room, you do not realise it's made up of individual lengths.
Ceiling rings like this were used to increase the size of decorative ceiling centrepieces. In the pictures opposite, the ceiling ring is fitted outside, another of our Victorian ceiling roses, LPR002. Although, it can be used with any ceiling rose that has a diameter of less than 720 mm, or it will be too big fit inside. In this way, many of our ceiling roses can be made part of a larger ceiling centrepiece.
To avoid any confusion, please note it is just the ceiling ring that you're buying. If you wish to buy a rose for the middle, that will have to be purchased separately.
You'll need a large room and high ceilings for this rose to look in proportion. If you're also looking for plaster cornice, a large swan neck, such as LPC073 or LPC018, has both the style and proportions for the size of room in which this ceiling ring will look its best.
