We made this plain run cornice for a customer restoring a Victorian house in Cheltenham, Much of the cornice had been damaged or removed, but there was enough left for us to take a mould and recreate the original.

Once fitted, the cornice looked like it had always been there, and the customer was delighted. We too were pleased and decided to add it to our standard range of Victorian cornices.

As can be seen from the pictures opposite, it fits perfectly into a period property. Like many Victorian cornices, it looks particularly good on the external corners. As can be seen here around a chimney breast.

With a drop of 130mm (just under 6 inches) and a projection of 165mm (just over 6 inches), it is the ideal size for typical Victorian ceiling heights which were higher than many of todays.

Although originally a Victorian design, this is one of those cornices that doesn't look out of place anywhere, as long as you have the necessary ceiling height. It can also be used throughout a property not looking out of place in any room of the house.

If you are also replacing ceiling roses a plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074 will go very well with this cornice.

All our plaster cornice is made by hand. We mould each piece individually, still using the same techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.3m lengths.

Please remember, our coving is priced and ordered by the metre, not per length. Prices include VAT.

Using our own transport ensures your coving arrives in good condition and customers are kept up to date with progress on the day of delivery. We deliver to the vast majority of the UK within five working days, often sooner.

If you live in an isolated area, deliveries will be less frequent than somewhere like the centre of London, where we have multiple vans every day.
