Although this is relatively inexpensive coving it is still a high quality plain plaster cornice. It’s a simple design with two slightly different ogee profiles above and below a central cove and compared with many other designs quick and easy to fit and therefore cheaper. This coving is popular for commercial projects where there is a large meterage required and where the relatively low installation costs are an important consideration, coming as they do with no reduction in quality and style.

With smaller proportions than many of our cornices MPC046 is ideal for modern houses and apartments where the ceilings are often fairly low or for the upstairs rooms of older properties. This cornice is also often used in properties where the ceilings have been lowered, leaving little room for a cornice between the new ceiling height and the window architraves.

As can be seen from the pictures opposite, this is a small cornice that makes a tremendous impact. It is easier to fit than many of our cornices, making it extremely popular with homeowners.

All our plaster cornice is handmade using methods and materials that are unchanged since Victorian times.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.
