If you are looking for something a little bit different this could be for you, On almost all other cornice, the central section is convex, curving inwards. This cornice, the central section, is concave, curving outwards, with linear mouldings above and below.

This gives it a completely different profile to our other cornices, and a very distinctive look.

With a drop of 100mm, four inches, it's the ideal size for smaller Victorian and Edwardian houses. And for modern properties, which tend to have lower ceiling heights.

This type of cornice was used from the Georgian period onwards and would not look out of place in any house built in the last 250 years. It works particularly well with interior design schemes that feature antique furniture.

It is one of the easier cornices that we make to fit. If you are intending to fit your own cornice, we have a range of installation tools and materials, along with some helpful information videos on the website.

This cornice works particularly well when combined with a plain spun ceiling rose such as MPR073.

We still make all our plaster cornice by hand. Each length is individually moulded using the same materials and techniques that were used in Victorian times.

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.

Please remember, our coving is priced and ordered by the metre, not per length. Prices include VAT.
