Sometimes less is more. And that's certainly the case with this 150mm (6-inch) drop and projection plain plaster cornice.
The cornice has a large plain plaster cove with a linear moulding above and below and in this 6-inch size is suitable for ceilings of above average height.
It is not a design associated with any particular period and is suitable for properties of all ages.
We have the same design in a smaller size (120mm or just under five inches), which is suitable for ceilings of average height.
This is one of our easier cornices to fit, and if you are thinking of installing it yourself, we supply a range of installation tools and materials, the website also has a number of helpful instructional videos.
We still make all our plaster coving by hand. Each length is individually moulded using the same techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times.
This is a large plaster coving with a six inch drop and projection. It’s deliberately very plain and looks especially good on the external corners such as around a chimney breast. If you would like a similar design but with a little more detail then please see LPC050 - another six inch cornice.

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.
