Westminster: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We deliver plaster coving to Westminster at least twice a week. Decorative plasterwork has always been a feature of the area's fine houses, and there is always a strong demand from older properties being refurbished and for newer apartments being decorated.

We use our own vans and drivers for deliveries, to make sure coving arrives safely, and to make sure it stays in perfect condition, our drivers will check it is handled and stacked carefully, ready for use. This is particularly important on busy sites where damage can occur after delivery.

We make all our plaster cornice and ceiling roses by hand, every piece is individually moulded using the same materials and techniques that were used in Victorian times, a truly handmade product.

Westminster's mix of high quality properties means that certain styles of cornice are more popular than others. A good example being LPC073, a large swan neck cornice, so called because the cornice extends further across the ceiling than it does down the wall, its classic Victorian design; with the right proportions for the larger rooms and higher ceilings of many of the area's properties. LPC019 is an ornate modillioned cornice of classical design, which was traditionally used in the entrance halls of houses to give visitors an impression of wealth and style. We also make a full range of ceiling roses both pain and ornate, plain spun ceiling roses such as LPR074 being especially popular.

Samples of all our cornice can be ordered off the individual product pages, where we also have hundreds of pictures of our coving in a real life settings, most of these images have been sent in by our customers, and it is interesting to see, just how different the same cornice can look, depending on how a room is decorated and furnished.

We would suggest you use experienced cornice fitters to fit your cornice, not only will they do a better job, it will be cheaper as well, as they do not get into difficulties with ceilings that are not level and walls that are not straight, things that are just part of the job, especially in older properties. This means they can fit more coving in a day and the coving they do fit will be fitted to a higher standard. We have good contacts with builders and tradesmen working in the area, and can put you in touch with an experienced fitter if required.

If you have any other questions or would like any further information, please give our customer services team a call, they will be happy to help.
