Sutton Coldfield: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We deliver plaster coving to the Sutton Coldfield area at least once a week, so there is never long to wait after placing an order. We use our own vans and drivers to ensure that all our plaster  is delivered in good condition, our drivers will also make sure the coving is handled carefully and stacked safely so that it remains in good condition until it is used. This is especially important on busy building sites.

All our plaster coving is made by hand. We still use the same materials and techniques that were used in Victorian times, each ceiling rose or length of coving is individually moulded, the whole process from start to finish is done entirely by hand.

With many fine houses, Sutton has always been a busy area for us, because of the types of housing some designs are consistently popular. Here are some of these designs, and details of the types of houses for which they are the most suited. If you are not sure what to choose, these are a good place to start your search. LPC015 is a stylish cornice that looks good anywhere with above average ceiling heights, it is most popular in houses built from the Edwardian period onwards. The swan neck is a style of cornice that was used extensively in Victorian times, through into the early twentieth century. It gets its name because it extends further across the ceiling than it does down the wall, it’s instantly familiar to anyone who knows Victorian houses. We have a range of sizes, LPC030 one of the larger ones is suitable for houses with above average ceiling heights, and MPC065 for those with lower ceilings. A plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074 is a good choice to complete the room.

Samples of all of our cornice are available on the individual product pages, also on these pages are hundreds of pictures of our coving in real life situations, these photographs have mostly been sent in by our customers and are the best way to get an accurate impression of how a particular design would actually look if fitted in your own home. It is always surprising just how different the same cornice can look depending on how the room has been decorated and furnished. Samples only take a couple of days to arrive.

We suggest you use experienced coving fitters to install your coving not only will the result be better, it should also be cheaper. They will not have problems with walls not being straight, ceilings not being level, and corners not being right angles, these things are all just part of the job, especially with older houses, as a result they will fit more coving in a day and the coving they do fit will be fitted to a higher standard.

We have good contacts with local tradesmen and can put you in contact. If you have any other questions or need any more information, please give our customer services team a call they will be happy to talk to you.
