Slough: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We deliver plaster coving to the Slough area around twice a week, so there is never long to wait after placing an order. We use our own vans and drivers for deliveries to ensure our coving arrives in good condition. Our drivers will also check that it is handled carefully and stacked safely ready for use. This is particularly important on busy or crowded building sites.

All our plaster coving is made by hand, we still use the same materials and techniques that were used to make plaster cornice in Victorian times. Each length of coving or ceiling rose is individually moulded, the entire process from start to finish is done entirely by hand. We keep large amounts of finished coving in stock, so we are able to deliver even the largest orders in a matter of days rather than weeks.

Slough is a busy place for us and some of the more popular designs in the area are, LPC015 a stylish cornice that looks good anywhere, with average or above average ceiling heights. If your ceilings are lower, MPC046 is just as effective. A plain spun ceiling rose such as MPR073 will go very well with either of these.

For older properties Swan neck coving is always a good choice, so called because it extends further across the ceiling than it does down the wall, it was used widely in the Victorian and Edwardian periods and will be instantly recognisable to anybody familiar with period houses. We have a number of different sizes depending on the size of your room and the ceiling height. For larger rooms with higher ceilings LPC073 and for lower ceilings MPC065 or SPC070, LPR060 is a classic Victorian ceiling rose.

Samples of all our coving are available off the individual product pages, these pages also have hundreds of pictures of our coving in real life settings, most of these pictures have been sent in by our customers. They are the best way to get an accurate impression of how a particular cornice would look in your own home. It's amazing, just how different the same cornice can look depending on the way in which the room has been decorated and furnished, samples only take a couple of days to arrive.

We suggest you use experienced cornice fitters to install your coving, the result will be better and it should also be cheaper. They do not have problems with walls that are not straight, ceilings that are not level, coving that has a pattern, and corners that are not right angles, all these things are just part of the job, especially with older houses. A good fitter will install more coving in a day and the work he does will be to a higher standard.

We have good contacts with local tradesmen and can put you in contact, if you have any other questions or would like any further information, please contact our customer services they will be happy to talk to you.
