Sevenoaks: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We deliver plaster coving in the Sevenoaks area at least once a week, so there is never a long wait after placing an order. We use our own drivers and vans to ensure it arrives in good condition. Our drivers will check the coving is handled carefully and stacked safely so that it is still in good condition when it comes to be used. This is especially important on busy building sites.

All our plaster coving is hand made, we use the same materials and techniques that were used in Victorian times, each length of cornice or ceiling rose is individually moulded, the whole process from start to finish is done by hand. To avoid delays waiting for lengths of coving to dry we keep large amounts of finished cornice in stock allowing us to deliver even the largest orders in a matter of days not weeks.

With many fine houses there is always a good demand for plaster cornice in Sevenoaks, some designs are more popular than others and here are some suggestions of the more popular styles as a starting point for your search.

Swan neck cornice is always popular for Sevenoaks Victorian and Edwardian houses, so called because it extends further across the ceiling than it does down the wall, it was widely used in Victorian and Edwardian times and will be instantly recognisable to anybody familiar with older houses. We have a range of different sizes LPC073 is one of the larger ones and is made for rooms with well above average ceiling heights, LPC030 and MPC065 are for rooms with above average and average ceiling heights respectively. A plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074 is often chosen to complete the room or if something more ornate  is wanted LPR060 is a classic Victorian design.

We don't just sell cornice for older properties and have a complete range covering all ages and types of property, LPC015 is a stylish cornice that looks good anywhere with above average ceiling heights and is particularly popular with twentieth century and new build properties. Samples of all our coving can be ordered off the individual product pages and only take a couple of days to arrive. The product pages feature hundreds of pictures of our coving in real life situations, most of these photographs have been sent in by our customers. They are the best way to get an impression of how a particular cornice would actually look in your own home. Samples only take a couple of days to arrive.

We would suggest you only use experienced cornice fitters to install your coving, not only will the result be better it should also be cheaper. They will not have problems with walls that are not straight, corners that are not right angles, ceilings that are not level, or coving with patterns on it. These are all just part of the job, especially with older houses, but can cause real problems for the inexperienced, the result being, they can fit less coving in a day, and what they do fit is not as good as it should be.

We have good contacts with local tradesmen and can put you in contact if needed, should you have any other questions or would like any further advice or information, please call our customer services team they will be happy to help you.
