We deliver plaster coving to the Preston area at least once a week so there is never long to wait after placing an order. We use our own drivers and vans for deliveries to ensure our coving arrives in good condition, our drivers will also check the coving is handled carefully and stacked safely, this is especially important on busy or crowded building sites.

We still make all our plaster coving by hand, using the same materials and methods that were used in Victorian times, each ceiling rose or length of coving is individually moulded, the whole process from start to finish is done entirely by hand. We keep large quantities of finished coving in stock allowing us to deliver even the biggest orders in days rather than weeks.

Preston has many older buildings having expanded rapidly in the Victorian period as it grew into a major center for the cotton industry. With many houses dating back to the Victorian and Edwardian eras, all of which would have originally had plaster coving and ceiling roses, there has always been a good demand in Preston for authentic period cornice designs and we have worked with many of the builders and tradesmen in the area. One of the most widely used designs throughout the Victorian and Edwardian periods was Swan Neck Cornice, we have a range of sizes and it is now a very popular choice for the restoration of period properties. It gets its name from the fact it extends further across the ceiling than it does down the wall, its distinctive profile will be recognizable to anyone familiar with older properties.

LPC017 is a larger sized swan neck cornice suitable for rooms with the higher than average ceilings so common in Victorian houses, for lower ceilings MPC065 has the same style with smaller proportions, a plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074 is a good choice to complete the room. We don't just make coving for older houses, designs such as LPC015 look good anywhere and are especially popular with customers decorating houses from the 1930’s onwards, it does need a reasonable ceiling height to look its best, and for those with lower ceilings MPC046 is just as effective.

Samples of all our designs are available off the individual product pages, these pages also have hundreds of pictures of our coving in real life settings, the photographs have mostly been sent in by our customers and are the best way to see how a particular design will actually look in your own home, samples only take a couple of days to arrive.

We would recommend you use experienced coving fitters to install your cornice, they will not only produce a better result it should also be cheaper. They do not have problems with walls that are not straight, corners that are not right angles, coving with a pattern on it or ceilings that are not level. All things that are just part of the job especially with older houses. We have good links with local tradesmen and can put you in contact.
