Otherwise we typically deliver to Orrell 2-3 times a week. We deliver all of our plaster coving and plaster ceiling roses by hand, we have our very own team of specialist drivers who will ensure your order is delivered safely. Our plaster products are raw materials and it is very important that they are handled with care, our drivers will also advise you on how to correctly store plaster coving to avoid any damage, this is particularly important on busy building sites. Our plaster cornice should be stacked neatly in the position that it is intended to be installed free from walkways and traffic and our plaster ceiling roses should be stored laid flat.
At Plaster ceiling roses, we are proud to mould all of our products by hand using the same traditional materials and methods that were used during the Victorian period. This allows us to achieve high end details with an authentic and durable finish. Each of our plaster ceiling roses and lengths of cornice is individually cast, the entire meticulous process from start to finish is completely done by hand. Our ceiling roses are moulded in various sizes and our coving is made in lengths of 2.4m, however it must be ordered by the meter. Thanks to our spacious workshop's we are able to maintain large quantities of stock which allows us to efficiently supply substantial orders for big projects, please don't hesitate to contact us directly for larger orders.
Like most of Greater Manchester Orrell is home to various period properties due to the rapid expansion during the industrial revolution. Countless terraces and many charming semi-detached homes were built to house the growing workforce thanks to the mining and textile industries. Originally all of these homes would have been finished with decorative plaster details which was very common during the Victorian period. These architectural features would have been designed to last, however where these homes have been modernised a great deal of these properties have lost their original Victorian charm. We have had the privilege of providing the building materials for plenty of the renovations in the Orrell area, helping the local homeowners reinstate classic features which instantly elevate any property and easily add value.
A popular cornice choice for restoring period homes is our Swan Neck Plaster coving, instantly recognisable and known for it's iconic "S' shaped profile that extends further across the ceiling, our Swan Neck collection is the ideal choice to consistently add a touch of elegance no matter how big or small your property is. For rooms with average ceilings our MPC065 beautifully frames medium sized rooms and adds so much depth. For larger rooms with higher ceilings our LPC030 provides the same luxurious profile only bigger. For rooms where the ceilings have been lowered or rooms where there is not enough space between the ceilings and windows, our SPC070 is able to create the same elegant shape with only a drop of 70mm.
We supply a full range of coving design, with various offerings for both period and historic properties. Adding coving and ceiling roses is more about adding thoughtful detail rather than reinstating period charm. For new homes our LPC051 is proving to be a popular choice for larger rooms with high ceilings, it's simple and symmetrical shape effortlessly adds further style to modern interiors, for rooms with average ceiling heights our MPC046 offers a similar sleek finish.
We offer samples of all of our coving designs which are available to purchase via the individual product pages, this is the easiest way to get a better feel for our products and sample them in your home, samples typically arrive via next day delivery. You can also view countless images of our coving designs on the individual products pages, this will help you see the end result and the impact cornice has in different interiors, these images will also help you discover your own personal style.
For Installation, we would always recommend using a professional coving fitter Their expertise will not only achieve high end results but will also save you time and money. An experienced fitter will easily be able to solve common issues such as uneven ceilings and walls. A professional is also less likely to waste the plaster materials when cutting internal or external corners. We have various contacts for local and reliable fitters that cover Orrell and the surrounding areas. Please get in touch with our friendly customer service team who can provide you with their contact details.
If you have any further questions about our collections or would like to discuss the installation process in more detail please get in touch, we will be happy to provide additional support.
