Plaster Coving, Cornice & Ceiling Roses in Norwich
We deliver plaster coving to Norwich and surrounding areas around once a week, there is never a long wait after placing an order. We use our own vans and drivers to make sure coving is delivered in good condition, our drivers will check it is handled carefully and stacked safely ready for use. This is especially important on busy building sites.
All our plaster coving is made by hand using the same materials and techniques that were used in Victorian times, every ceiling rose and piece of coving is individually moulded, the whole process from start to finish is done entirely by hand. We keep large stocks of finished coving in our warehouse, we are able to deliver even the largest orders in a matter of days rather than weeks.
There are many Victorian and Edwardian houses in the Norwich area, all of which would have had decorative plaster mouldings when they were built, fortunately much of the plaster cornice and many of the ceiling roses have survived. Unfortunately over the years, some have not survived the changes to tastes and style, now however plaster cornice is firmly back in fashion and one of the most popular designs is swan neck cornice. Swan neck coving gets its name from the fact it extends further across the ceiling than it does down the wall, it was widely used in Victorian and Edwardian times and will be instantly recognisable to anybody who knows Victorian houses. We have a number of different sizes LPC030 is one of the larger ones and suitable for above average ceiling heights if you do not have the ceiling height MPC065 will give you the same effect. A plain spun ceiling rose such as MPR073 is a good choice to complete the room or if you would like something more ornate LPR060 is a classic Victorian design.
For more modern properties LPC015 is a good choice; it looks good anywhere with average and above ceiling heights and MPC046 does the same for those with lower ceilings. Samples of all our coving are available from the individual product pages, there you will also find hundreds of pictures of our coving in real life settings. These photographs have mostly been sent in by our customers and are the best way to get a true impression of how a particular cornice will actually look in your own home. Samples only take a couple of days to arrive.
We would suggest you use experienced cornice fitters to install your coving, they will not have problems with ceilings that are not level, corners that are not right angles and walls that are not straight, they rarely are in older houses, and even some new ones. This means they can get more coving fitted in a day, and the coving they do fit, will be to a higher standard, it should not only be better but cheaper as well.
We have good contacts with local tradesmen and can put you in contact. If you have any other questions or require any further information, please give our customer services team a call they will be happy to talk to you.
