Newham: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

From our warehouse in Arundel we deliver coving to the Newham area at least twice a week, so there is never very long to wait from placing an order to delivery. We use our own vans and drivers for our deliveries, coving is fragile and needs to be handled carefully, our drivers will make sure your coving is stacked correctly and in a safe place, especially if it is a busy building site, so that it is in perfect condition when you are ready to have it fitted.

All our coving is hand made using the same materials and techniques that were used in Victorian times, each piece is individually moulded, a truly hand made product.

Some of our designs date back to the Victorian era, but that does not mean that they look dated, in fact they have a familiar look to them and are not out of place at all in a modern setting. One such design is MPC065 a medium sized Swan Neck cornice so called because it extends further across the ceiling than it does down the wall, this is a very popular choice for Victorian and Edwardian terraces for which it has just the right proportions, it is also widely chosen for modern houses and apartments where there is not the ceiling height for a larger cornice but where it still looks very impressive, often chosen to complement the coving is a plain spun ceiling rose such as MPR073

We would always recommend using an experienced cornice fitter if possible, not only will you get a better finish, it should also work out cheaper, as they can work a lot faster, they have no difficulties in older properties with uneven ceilings or walls that are not straight, all things they consider to be just part of the job, they can fit a lot more coving in a day and the coving they do fit is fitted to a higher standard.

Samples of all our coving can be ordered off the individual product pages of the website, also on these pages are hundreds of photographs showing how our coving looks in real life, it is interesting to see how the same design can look completely different, depending on the way the room has been decorated and furnished. Most of these pictures have been sent in by our customers and are the best way to get an idea of how a particular cornice will actually look when fitted in your own home. Samples only take a couple of days to be delivered.
