Mossley: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We deliver to Mossley about twice a week with our own vans, so you don’t need to worry about lead times or your coving arriving damaged. All our plaster products are handmade using the same materials and traditional methods used since Victorian times. Each ceiling rose and every section of coving is individually molded, and the entire process is done by hand.

The homes in Mossley are well suited for decorative plaster moldings. The area features a mix of traditional stone cottages, Victorian and Edwardian terraces, and larger period homes that reflect the town’s mill-town heritage. There are also 20th-century semi-detached houses and newer homes in and around the area.

Many properties still have period character, while others have been modernised internally to fit contemporary living. Features like plaster coving and ceiling roses look especially beautiful in Mossley’s older properties, but they can also add warmth and detail to more modern interiors.

Swan neck coving was popular in the Victorian era and still fits perfectly in many of Mossley’s older homes today. We have a wide variety of swan neck designs for different room sizes, from LPC017 for rooms with higher ceilings to SPC070 for smaller rooms that still desire the classic look. Our MPR061 ornate ceiling rose would go beautifully with any of the swan neck options.

We don’t only provide coving for period homes. We offer a complete range to fit any style or age of property. MPC051 is a popular ogee design that works particularly well in many 20th-century homes and newer constructions. MPC046 is also a great choice for smaller rooms or lower ceilings. Our MPR073 is a simple spun ceiling rose that pairs nicely with these more straightforward designs.

You can easily order samples of any of our coving designs through the individual product pages, and we send them out for next-day delivery. We also have hundreds of photos of our products in real settings, shared by our customers. This is a great way to see how the coving or ceiling roses will look in a setting similar to yours. These moldings can completely change a room, and you’ll see just how much difference they make once installed.

We always recommend hiring an experienced fitter to install your cornice. We have a long list of local fitters, so feel free to reach out if you need help finding one. The finish will be better, and they can handle walls that aren’t straight, ceilings that are uneven, corners that aren’t perfect right angles, or coving with patterns. That is completely normal in most homes and is just part of the job for any skilled fitter.
