Golborne: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

Golborne saw much of its expansion during the late Victorian and post-war periods, and the housing stock reflects this history. There are many traditional terraced properties built for industrial workers, alongside later semi-detached homes and more modern developments. Lots of older properties still feature period details, including decorative plaster mouldings in some Victorian homes.

All of our plaster coving and ceiling roses are made by hand using the same techniques and materials as used in the victorian period. We have a full range of period and modern cornice designs, though some simpler styles such as cove and ogee profiles are often preferred to suit the proportions of terraced and semi-detached homes in Golborne.

'Swan Neck' designs are popular, so called due to the fact it sits further across the roof than the wall. We have a full range of sizes, with LPC073 ideal for larger rooms, and MPC065 for lower ceilings and more compact spaces. MPC051 is also a classic design, ideal for any period property or new build.

We have experienced cornice fitters we can recommend to install our coving and samples are available of all of our products. Samples arrive in a couple of days.
