We deliver plaster coving to the Farnworth area at least once a week, our warehouse is in stockport just off junction 28 of the M60 and you can collect orders from there if you prefer. The warehouse is open from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, orders can be placed and paid for at the warehouse and the coving taken away all in one visit. All our deliveries are made by our own vans and drivers to ensure our coving arrives in good condition, our drivers will also check it is handled carefully and stacked safely, this is especially important on busy or crowded building sites.

All our plaster coving is hand made using the same techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times, each length of coving or ceiling rose is individually moulded, the entire process from start to finish is done by hand.

The industrial revolution led to Farnworth's rapid growth in the nineteenth century and the construction of large numbers of Victorian and Edwardian houses, all these houses would originally have had plaster coving and ceiling roses, and we have been involved in the renovation of many where the original mouldings have not survived. As our plaster cornice is made in exactly the same way as the original once it is fitted you can not tell the difference.

A popular style for renovations is swan neck cornice so called because it extends further across the ceiling than it extends down the wall, the design was used widely in Victorian and Edwardian times and will be instantly recognisable to anybody familiar with older houses. We have a range of sizes. One of the larger ones is LPC030 which is suitable for rooms with above average ceiling heights, and for rooms with ceilings of average height and below MPC065 is the best size. A plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074 is a good choice to complete the room.

We don't just make coving for older properties we have a complete range for all ages and styles of houses. LPC015 is a stylish cornice that looks good anywhere with average ceiling heights and above, it's especially popular for houses built after the Edwardian era and also with new builds, if you do not have the ceiling height MPC046 is a very good choice.

Samples of all our coving are available from the individual product pages, where you will also see hundreds of pictures of our coving in real life situations, mostly sent in by customers. These photographs are the best way to see how a design would actually look in your own house. A particular cornice can look completely different depending on the way a room has been styled and decorated, samples only take a couple of days to arrive.

We would suggest you use experienced coving fitters to install your coving, they have no problems with walls that are not straight, ceilings that are not level, corners that are not right angles and patterned cornice. All these things are just part of the job especially with older houses.
