Dunham Massey: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

Using our own fleet of vans, we deliver to Dunham Massey and the surrounding areas at least once a week. This means you don't have to worry about the coving getting damaged, or long lead times effecting your renovations.

We also have a warehouse not far away in Stockport,  just off junction 28 of the M60. You can collect, place or pay for your orders here so pop in to see us any time between 8 and 4 Monday to Friday.

All of our plaster coving is handcrafted using the same materials and traditional techniques as in the Victorian times. Each ceiling rose and every section of coving is individually moulded, with the entire process carried out by hand from start to end.

The types of houses in Dunham Massey vary, ranging from historical cottages, farmhouses, and barn conversions, as well as other houses built during the Victorian era, with the influence of the estate location and the town of Altrincham. The houses, though maintaining their original facades, have changed significantly internally, from their original basic design to the open-plan living spaces of today. Plaster coving, and ceiling roses were common design elements in Victorian and Edwardian homes, with these design elements still being incorporated today in the construction of modern houses.

Swan neck coving was used widely in the victorian era, and is instantly recognisable today by anyone who is familiar with older homes. We have a large selection of swan neck designs to suit any size room, from LPC017 for rooms with larger than average ceiling heights. To MPC065 for smaller rooms that desire the same effect. Our LPR060 ornate ceiling rose would go hand in hand with any of the swan neck range.

We don't only supply coving for older houses, we have a full range to suit any style or period. LPC015 is a popular ogee design which is popular with many twentieth century properties and new builds. MPC046 and MPC039 are also both just as effective for smaller ceiling rooms. Our MPR073 is a lovely plain spun ceiling rose that would pair nicely with such designs.

You can easily order samples of any of our coving designs via the individual product pages, and these are sent out to you next day delivery. There are also hundreds of photos of all of our products in real life settings, sent to us by our own customers. This is a great way to see how the coving or ceiling roses will look in a setting similar to your own. These mouldings can completely transform a room, and you can see below just how different a room can look before and after it is installed.

We would always suggest using an experienced fitter to install your cornice. The finish will be better, but they will also have no issues with walls that are not straight, ceilings that are not level, corners that are not right angles and coving that contains patterns. This is completely normal in most houses across the UK, but is just part of the job for any fibrehand.

If you need any more information or you need a fitter, please get in touch and we can put you in contact with a tradesman near you.

A Customer in Dunham Massey recently installed our plaster coving LPC030 and what a transformation they have achieved. This is one of our best selling covings with its elegant finish that nods to a Victorian era. This coving was installed by a professional fitter and the results speak for themselves.

This customer wanted to add a luxurious yet original feel to the master bedroom. The LPC030 definitely brings in class and elegance yet also revives some Victorian charm. The swan neck design was extremely popular during the Victorian times with it's timeless and classic appeal.

Whether you are looking to revive some existing features to your property or add timeless charm to your home, our coving and ceiling roses are a perfect place to start.
