Canterbury: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We deliver to the beautiful city of Canterbury and the surrounding areas at least once a week, with stock being dispatched from either our Northern or Southern warehouses. All of our plaster products are delivered by our own team of dedicated drivers who are specially trained in ensuring your order arrives in top condition. Since our products are raw materials they need to be handled with care due to their fragility. Our drivers will ensure your order is carefully delivered to your preference and safely stacked to be used when you are ready to start. Our drivers will also advise you how to safely store your order to avoid any damage on busy and crowded renovation sites.

We are proud to make our plaster coving and ceiling roses by hand, as well as our panel mouldings and corbels. Using the same materials and traditional techniques that were used in Victorian times. The whole process from start to finish is done completely by hand. Our coving is made in lengths of 2.4 meters, each length individually moulded as well as all of our ceiling roses. Due to the slight imperfections on the ends of our coving which is unavoidable when releasing the moulds, we always over supply to allow you to cut clean ends for joins or internal/external corners. We are able to carry large quantities of our finished plaster coving and ceiling roses enabling us to fulfill large orders at short notice. If you are needing a fast turnover we will always try our best to meet your preference.

Canterbury is home to a diverse mix of properties, from listed buildings, medieval cottages, sleek apartments and Victorian terraces. All of which would have originally been completed with decorative plaster mouldings, timber skirtings and architraves. Fortunately most of these architectural details have survived the test of time. However where they have not, we have had the honour of restoring these properties to their original glory, reinstating the foundational characteristics.

Our most highly regarded cornices for Victorian renovations is our ever so popular Swan Neck Plaster Coving which provides a beautiful finish, So called for its profile which elegantly extends further across the ceiling, than it does down the wall. Its iconic design makes it instantly recognisable to anyone familiar with classic details in older houses as it was used extensively during the Victorian Period and carried through into the Edwardian era. As our best selling products Swan neck profiles remain in demand to this very day. We can supply our swan neck style in various sizes allowing you to achieve a consistent and uniformed finish throughout your home. For everage ceilings Our MPC065 is ideal, for homes with higher ceilings our LPC030 achieves the same sophisticated finish at a larger scale and form smaller rooms with lower ceiling the SPC070 completes the family. If you are needing advice to match the correct size with your various room dimensions our friendly customer service team is on hand to assist with anything you might be unsure about.

We don't just mould cornice for period properties, we are noticing a growing demand to provide coving and ceiling roses for fresh new builds and sleek apartments. For more modern interior designs such as LPC015 is a stylish choice for a reasonable ceiling height, for lower ceilings our MPC046 is of the same profile and achieves the same streamlined transition from wall to ceiling. For matching timber skirtings and architraves the SB009 and ARC002 are proving to be the perfect pairing.

If you are wanting to get a better feel of the material we use to mould our plaster mouldings, samples are available for speedy delivery through the individual product pages, where you will also be able to view our products in various settings that may also provide you with inspiration for your own project. It is interesting to see just how different the same cornice can look depending on how the room has been styled and furnished.

To get the most out of your plaster coving and ceiling roses, we would always recommend  using a professional fitter. We have a large list of professional installers who work with our plaster products on a daily basis and can easily solve the problems that may occur installing coving in homes with ever uneven walls and ceilings. Using a professional will not only save you time and money but the results will speak for themselves.
