Abram: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We are able to deliver to Abram at least twice a week, thanks to our Northern Warehouse over in Stockport, so there is never long to wait after placing an order, we will also do our very best to ensure your delivery inline with busy and tight schedules. We use our own vans and drivers for deliveries to make sure our coving arrives in good condition, once there, our drivers will check the coving is handled carefully and stacked safely ready for use. This is important on busy or crowded building sites where damage can occur.

All of our plaster ceiling roses and plaster coving is made by hand, using the same materials and traditional techniques that were used during the Victorian era. Our cornice is made in 8 foot (2.4 meter) lengths which are each individually moulded, as are all our ceiling roses. Thanks to our organised workshop's we are able to hold large amounts of finished cornice and roses in stock so are able to meet even the largest orders in a matter of days not weeks.

Originally the foundations of Abram were formed during the industrial revolution, many houses were built during this era to house the workers in the mining trade as the village sits in the middle of a coal district. Today Abram is bursting with character which was influenced from the houses built during this era. Lined with charming terraces that would have originally been finished with plaster mouldings, adding coving to your home is the easiest way to elevate your property and add value. 

The most popular coving design to help reinstate Victorian character is our Swan Neck Plaster Coving, a classic and timeless choice known for its sharp lines and elegant curve; it effortlessly frames any room, available in various sizes. It is an ideal option to consistently elevate your home. For average ceilings our MPC065 is the ideal choice. For higher ceilings (typical in Victorian terraces) the LPC030 provides the perfect balance, and for lower ceilings or smaller rooms such as bathrooms or tight upstairs landings the SPC070 completes the collection. Our Swan Neck range can be elegantly paired with a plain spun ceiling rose which is also available in various sizes.

We would highly recommend you use an experienced coving fitter to install your coving not only will the result be a better finish, it will also be better value. A professional will not have problems with walls that are not straight, ceilings that are not level, coving with a pattern or corners that are not right angles, all these things are just part of the process.
