This cornice combines two of the most popular elements of cornice design, the ogee curve and the egg and dart moulding. The overall profile of the cornice is that of an ogee curve bisected by a linear moulding, with an egg and dart pattern below.

The ogee curve has been used in internal joinery since Georgian times, and can be found in skirting boards and architraves of most properties built in the last 250 years. The ogee profile is also common in furniture, both antique and modern.

As a result, this cornice is one of those that will look good anywhere, matching skirting boards and architraves, and other elements of internal joinery.

This is a good-sized cornice with a drop of 135mm (or just over five inches) and is suitable for ceilings of at least average height.

A plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074 is often chosen to complement this cornice.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.

Please remember, our coving is priced and ordered by the metre, not per length. Prices include VAT.
