Collection: Georgian Plaster Coving

Georgian style and elegance

We stock a fine range of Georgian cornice styles that reflects the spirit of the period particularly the neoclassical theme. Georgian buildings are sought after and loved by the British and our aim with this collection is to tap into that affection by producing mouldings that complement buildings of the period.

Authentic designs made in the modern way

During the 18th and early 19th century cornice was actually run in situ but to do that nowadays is prohibitively expensive for most people, so our Georgian coving is made in moulds and is more economic to use and fit. The plain run coving effect though is lovingly recreated in our new Regency Cornice range and is already proving very popular. We have also tended to focus on coving with a larger drop than projection and in addition featured neoclassical designs like Ogee, Dentil and Egg & Dart.

Choice in Georgian times and your choice now

When we supplied replacement cornice to a Georgian National Trust terraced property we got chatting with the project manager who told each of the houses in the terrace had similar cornice, only not in the same rooms. It appears the original house buyers were given a choice of styles they could have in each room just as nowadays you can choose the look of your kitchen if you buy off plan. Choosing what you like is much more traditional and correct than many other companies would lead you to believe. We stock a large range of styles and sizes of cornice so you can recreate the Georgian grandeur that everyone loves in your own home.
