Before and After Plaster coving installation in new build home.

Inside the Journey:

Would you recommend our plaster cornice and ceiling roses to others, and why?

“Most definitely! The quality of the Swan Neck Plaster Coving is  unmatched and it couldn’t be easier to order from the website. The coving really adds richness to the interior. We are adding a plaster ceiling rose to this room as we cannot get enough!”

Our plaster products are 100% fire resistant gypsum plaster that are completely crafted by hand, adding plaster mouldings to your renovation check list is the quickest and easiest way to transform your home without breaking the bank.

Do you feel the mouldings helped elevate the value or perceived quality of your home?

“I believe so. Since adding the coving, we realise how flat the rooms looked before in our new build house! Visitors comment on how the house doesn’t feel like a new build property and I believe this is because of the plaster period features we have added. Online viewers think it’s a Victorian terrace!”

Our collections feature an inspiring range of designs from timeless Victorian silhouettes to typical Edwardian influences. Whether you are trying to recreate a period finish or craft your own ambience, we can help you achieve your vision.

How did the coving/roses influence your other interior design choices?

“We have chosen to keep to classic white ceilings throughout the house for a classic look. This provides good contrast with the dark walls and floral wallpaper to keep the rooms feeling wide and open. If we had higher ceilings I would definitely colour wash the ceilings and plaster features! I love seeing that in other houses.”

Once installed our plaster mouldings become permanent architectural details that can effortlessly be transformed with a lick of paint and will last you a lifetime with good care.

Did our team support you with measurements, style advice, or product guidance?

“Yes, The instructions on the website on how to measure and fit were really helpful. We also watched the Youtube installation videos. We felt confident about the installation process having researched and purchased the correct materials.”

We are here to support you throughout your renovation journey, whatever assistance you require, from style advice, a confidence boost or even help with a quicker delivery time, our team are here to help, wherever possible.

How would you describe the difference between the room before and after installation?

“A huge transformation! We went from a flat empty W/C lacking character and warmth to what is now an enchanted space for guests to visit for toilet trips. Everybody has said that the room feels like a cosy pub toilet! It’s most people’s favourite room in the house.”

Plaster Coving detail in new build

Thoughtful detail, beautifully elevated and perfectly proportioned, our plaster mouldings are designed to seamlessly frame and enrich any interior.

We think this customer has effortlessly transformed the thoughtless and uninviting downstairs loo into a welcoming crowd pleaser that also receives our approval and compliments. We can’t wait to see how the addition of one of our ceiling roses completes the space.

Although our Swan Neck Plaster Coving MPC065 used here typically references a Victorian era, it’s interesting to see how this customer has made the design her own and achieved her own aesthetic.

We would usually recommend a Plain Spun Plaster ceiling rose SPR007 to match this cornice design and room size however in this case we have suggested our small palmette plaster ceiling rose SPR005 to compliment the playful light fixture.

Before and after installation of a plaster ceiling rose.

Other designs we recommend for smaller rooms such as water closets and en-suites:

  • MPC046 - Clean lines with minimal details that can neatly integrate with extractor fans.
  • SPC070 - An iconic design that elongates ceiling in smaller spaces.
  • SPC021 - Offers a stylish and sleek transition that add's a lot of visual interest to ceilings in smaller rooms.
