Haigh: Plaster Coving, Cornice and Ceiling Roses

We supply plaster coving to Haigh and the surrounding area on a regular basis, typically delivering several times each week using our own. Our main warehouse is in Bredbury Stockport  just off Junction 28 of the M60, where you can also make collections, so there is never long to wait if you need plaster coving or ceiling roses quickly. 

Every ceiling rose and length of coving is made entirely by hand, using traditional techniques that have been in use since the Victorian era. Because we hold large volumes of stock, we’re able to respond quickly to orders of all sizes, from single rooms through to full property projects.

Haigh’s setting on the edge of woodland and open countryside gives it a very different housing character to more urban areas, with a mix of detached homes, estate cottages and individually designed properties. Plaster coving and ceiling roses are frequently used in period homes as well as modern builds.

Many properties in Haigh suit classic coving profiles, particularly where higher ceilings or larger rooms allow for more defined detailing. One of the most recognisable options is the swan neck design. Some profiles include:

• LPC017 - well suited to larger rooms
• MPC065 - the same traditional shape in a more compact form, ideal for standard ceiling heights

A plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074 provides a simple focal point, while an LPR060 introduces a more decorative Victorian style with classic ornate, acanthus leaf detailing.

For more modern homes and new builds, we also offer a wide range of more understated profiles:

• LPC015 - versatile option that works well in most rooms with average ceiling heights and above
• MPC046 - similar look in a smaller scale, suitable for spaces where ceiling height is more limited

To help you find the right style, we offer samples across our entire range, all available through our website. Each product page also includes many customer images, showing how different designs look once installed. Samples are typically delivered within a couple of days.

For installation, we always recommend using experienced cornice fitters. Even in newer homes, issues such as uneven surfaces or awkward corners can arise. We have reliable contacts covering the Haigh area and can provide recommendations if required.
