We originally made this plaster cornice for the restoration of a large Victorian house in York. Most of the original coving had been removed, but fortunately, there was enough of this left for us to take a mould and reproduce the original coving.

the customer was extremely pleased with the result, and so were we. So much so, in fact, that we decided to continue to make the design and add it to our standard range of cornices.

It is one of those cornices that is just perfect for restoring Victorian and Edwardian properties, ideally suited to their ceiling heights, which were higher than those of houses built today. It looks totally authentic because it is totally authentic. As with all good Victorian cornices, it looks particularly attractive on external corners, such as around a chimney breast.

Although originally a Victorian design, this is the sort of cornice that will not look out of place in any property of any age with the necessary ceiling height.

It is like all our cornices, made entirely by hand, each piece individually moulded, using the same techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.
