Sometimes less is more. This Plain run cornice has a large central cove with a linear detail to the top and bottom rails.

Many people prefer a plainer cornice style, such as this. It is not specific to any particular period or style, and does not look out of place in any house that has been built in the last 250 years.

We have two sizes in this design. This is the smaller size with a drop and protection of 120 mm (5 inches) which is suitable for ceilings of average height and maybe slightly above. The larger size, LPC013, has a drop and projection of 150mm (6 inches) which is suitable for rooms with high ceilings.

This is one of our easier cornices to fit, and if you're thinking of doing it yourself, we have a range of installation materials and tools available on the website, along with some helpful instructional videos.

This cornice looks particularly good when combined with a plain spun ceiling rose such as LPR074.

Each length of this plaster cornice is made entirely by hand. Each length is individually moulded using the same techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.
