This smallish cornice combines two classic elements of cornice design: the egg and dart motif and the dentil moulding. Both of these patterns are taken from the carved stone ornamentation of Greek temples a style that became very popular in the Georgian period and through into the Victorian era.

This cornice is perfect for creating a period atmosphere in a room, With a drop of 90mm (just under 4 inches), it has the right proportions for smaller rooms or those with lower ceilings.

As can be seen from the pictures opposite, it looks fantastic with period furniture and interiors and can be used throughout the house. Living rooms. kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, absolutely anywhere.

This cornice looks good when combined with a plain spun ceiling rose, such as MPR073, or if you would like something more ornate, MPR004 also has a similar egg and dart detail.

We make every length of this plaster cornice by hand, still using the same techniques and materials that were used in Victorian times.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.3m lengths.
