This attractive cornice features a pattern of Acanthus leaves, with a row of elongated plain leaves behind.

Greek temples from which the Georgians and Victorians took inspiration for many of their designs, heavily featured Acanthus leaves. They appear on stone corbels and carved into their stone cornices.

Of a size suitable for ceilings of average height and maybe slightly above. This cornice is very popular with owners of Victorian and Edwardian houses. Where it can be used throughout the house. And as can be seen from the pictures opposite, it looks equally classy in a bedroom as it does in a living room.

It also looks just as good when styled in contemporary colours with contemporary furnishings as it does in a more traditional period interior.

A Plain spun ceiling rose, such as MPR073, is a very popular choice to complete the room.

If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount, one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this, we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible, as this will create a better finish. This coving comes in 2.4m lengths.
