Location: Kingsthorpe, Northampton.
Our repeat customer Lara, has made her tired Reno home into a work of art. While reintroducing traditional features that had been removed from the property, she has spent time putting her own twist on the overall finish, bringing a whole new outlook on how our plaster ceiling rose MPR063 can be enjoyed.
Following this house project has been exciting to see, and we are always looking forward to how our products will be incorporated into the next space this customer transforms in her home.
PROJECT: Transforming traditional into unique, eye-catching features.

Inside The Reno
“Definitely, it’s a huge part of our project, putting features and decorative details back into our property when they had previously been removed. It makes the rooms look more refined, finished, and in some cases more opulent and high-end.”
The transformative effect of adding coving and ceiling roses to a room is undeniable. Even a rose alone is such a simple way to elevate a space.
2. Was your focus for the rose to match the period of your home?
“Yes to an extent, our property would have had ceiling roses so I definitely wanted to add them back in, but I’m not too strict about sticking to the exact period in.”
Many of the ceiling roses we produce are versatile in design and would suit more than one period of home. This means you do not need to be too strict when choosing your dream rose.

3. Have you had any feedback from friends and family visiting your home?
“Yes, our project is constantly changing, progressing, I hope! Although sometimes it feels like we’re going slowly, even backwards! So we do get lots of feedback, the very impactful large rose we installed in the library room is definitely a favourite.”
Many of our roses stand out as focal points and conversation starters. Whether you are looking for a rose that sits quietly or stops the show, we have something to fit the bill.
4. How well do the plaster mouldings integrate with the rest of your interior?
"The roses integrate so well. We did have a few in the house when we moved in, but most of the ceilings had been lowered, and the roses had been removed. The ones we had were quite plain, and the ones we have added have more detailing. For me personally, I don’t feel they all need to match as I treat each room as an individual space, however, having ceiling roses and cornicing in every room ties them together and really suits the period of the house and its high ceilings."

5. How important was craftsmanship and detail of the product in relation to your final choice?
“It is important to me, ideally, I want to use materials that are sympathetic to the period of the building. I love all the intricate detailing.“
Our roses and mouldings are handcrafted in gypsum plaster, to a very high standard, bringing a sense of luxe and finesse to any space. Detailing that just cannot be achieved with alternative materials.
We think the way Lara has installed and decorated the plaster mouldings in her renovation property is unique and awe- inspiring. With colour drenching and gold leafing, she has truly recreated our ideas on how to make the best of the features in a room. We look forward to seeing what comes next for this customer.
