This customer has brought in traditional features, back where they belong by drawing inspiration from their period home. By looking through the before and after photos from this project, you can see the huge difference one small change can bring to a space. The previous light offered the room a modern look, but the customer was set to bring this room back to the former glory it once had and to mirror the feel of her existing spaces. How did they achieve this? Simple… a ceiling rose.

1. What were your first impressions when the products arrived?
"The ceiling rose was packaged incredibly well and was in excellent condition. I was given lots of delivery updates too. As soon as I opened it, I fell in love with it. It's exactly as it looks online."
We take great care in making sure our roses get to you in the same, immaculate condition that they leave our warehouse in. While the raw plaster products are delivered ‘unfinished’ we want each and every customer to be wow’ed when they open their delivery.
2. How did the installation go, and what advice would you give others?
"I got an electrician to fit it for me, as he was also fitting a very heavy chandelier into the room too. He said it was super easy to install, and the filler along the edges makes it look super smooth - like it's always been there. It's the perfect addition to our Victorian home."

3. How did you ensure the Rose matched the period of your home?
"I had a look on Plaster Ceiling Roses' style guide on their website, and ended up choosing one that matched an existing ceiling rose in our Victorian house."

4. What feedback have visitors or your audience given about the finished result?
"It's always the first thing people comment on when they visit our house! It's a real show stopper and I love that about it."
5. How important was craftsmanship and detail in your decision?
"So important. I think it's really obvious when a ceiling rose has been well made. These are super easy to paint and for me, there is no point in getting a plastic version, as it'll make the room look cheap. I am so happy with my plaster ceiling rose - the craftsmanship is phenomenal."

6. What inspired your design choices—period homes, Pinterest, magazines?
"I took some inspiration from existing ceiling roses in my house, and I also looked on Instagram for inspiration too, on the Plaster Ceiling Roses page. I love the Victorian look, particularly as our last house was a new build. We wanted to really maximise the period features."
